For today’s teenagers & parents
“Daniel has the ability to really connect with teens. He has been a teacher, mentor, role model, advocate, and guidance counselor to my son all at the same time! He is talented and gifted in working with this age group and I would highly recommend him! He made our life easier and more manageable, and in today’s world it helps to have extra support for teens.”
“Daniel runs marathons, and that is what our family needed. He has a true gift!!”
“We are so grateful to “Coach Daniel” for his knowledge of all things teen and for his practical approach to family problem-solving. While our teen gained much-needed advice and an impartial ear, I have to say my husband and I probably learned the most! The “tune-up and tune-in” that Daniel guided us through was transformative for us as a family, and as parents. “Coach” asks realistic, reflective (and yes, difficult) questions and allows time (yes, requires the time) to review, discuss and debrief. Helping our family to get aligned both philosophically and “in the real” is a gift for which we are truly grateful.”
“Wow! [Patterson Perspective Inc.] was life-changing! Not only did the grades improve dramatically, but the process [Patterson] shared with our son, and the confidence [Patterson] gave him were critical to his happiness and success.”
Patterson Perspective Founder Daniel Patterson has dedicated his life to educating and supporting parents to raise authentic, vibrant, and thriving teenagers. Daniel worked in secondary education for fourteen years as an English teacher and high school assistant principal. Wanting to extend his reach and avenues to effect positive and progressive changes, Patterson launched his full-time consulting firm, Patterson Perspective Inc. in 2017. His consulting work includes positive reinforcement to teenagers, so they are able to reach their full capacity in academic and social frameworks and by giving parents the necessary tools for their children to achieve this.
Patterson released his first book, “The Assertive Parent,” in 2018. Drawing from his years of experience, “The Assertive Parent” is a compilation of hacks, tools, and strategies that serve as a roadmap for parents to assist their children in building autonomy, authenticity, and resilience.
Patterson has been a featured voice in several publications, including contributions to NBC News, Fox News, The HuffPost, The Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, Entrepreneur Magazine, Thrive Global, MSNBC.com, Sheknows.com, Bustle.com, among others. He has also been an invited expert on podcasts, radios stations, and speaking engagements including TedX Newport Beach, My Dad Pod, The Bruce Cook Show, and No Bounds Podcast.
Patterson is extremely passionate about advocacy work and getting involved. When not in the office, he can be found using his expertise on the board of directors of two nonprofits, One Recovery and the Imagine Foundation. Both organizations are committed to assist and empower struggling young people.
